To filter microplastics out of your domestic sewage, you can use nanoF. It is installed in your basement and all the sewage water except that from the toilets, must flow through the filter system. There are two cartridges in the device, one beeing used and the other ready to replace it when its full. Underneath the cartridge is a water pump that makes sure the water flows through the cartridge with a steady flow of 25 Litres per Minute. The white light indicates that the filter system is running and the red light warns the user when the cartridge must be replaced. To empty a cartridge, simply push the three seaves out of it, collect the trash in a separate bag and wash or replace the sieves.

They are small enough to get caght in leaves of plants and when fish eat them and we eat those fish, they get back to us and into our body.

Microplastics ar potentially dangerous for all lifeforms, because they attract different kinds of environmental pollutants and bacteria. Microplastic particels attract each other and travel in flocks, carrying with them a higher concentration of pollutants and bacteria than the concentration of the medium they travel with. Whenever microplastics get into an organism, these pollutants and bacteria may make it sick or even kill it.
