This magazine and laptop stand is my answer to the task to create an object for everyday use in an office. It needed to be entirely of metal and suitable for serial production. The term „office“ could be defined individually, so I decided to create a space-saving product for laptop storage at my desk in our atelier at school.

I started out by building a model table and many different models of possibilities to store a laptop around a table. After discussing my ideas with friends and the instructor I chose one of them to elaborate. Sadly It turned out to be impossible to realize in the given time. I then switched to a more simple solution, where the product is simply put on the desk instead of being mounted at the side of it.

First I used the stand in my atelier for my laptop and it proved to be quite useful. After a while though I started using it as a magazine stand at home and in the atelier. It performs equally well in both ways.
